Graduating Class of 2012
A lovely graduation party was held at the Riverwood Academy on Friday, May 25, celebrating the academic achievements of the grade 12 students of 2012. Two grade 12 students from this community will graduate this year, Courtney Hart and Philip Freake. Now that they have had time to reflect back over the past 12 years, they will in their own hearts be forever cherishing the many pleasant memories that they have shared, and the close bonding that they have developed with other students and teachers in the last several years.
Your parents and teachers are mighty proud of you and so are we, as citizens of this community. Whatever dreams you may have or whichever vocation you pursue, we wish you only the best. Congratulations to you both and to the rest of the graduating grade 12 students of Riverwood Academy as you all embark upon the bright future in front of you. You, as young people are the backbone of this province and a good education will play a vital role in the success of each one of you as you journey through life striving to attain the best education possible in the pursuit of your ideals.
Seniors With A Purpose 50+Club
The 50+ Club members are winding down things after having a very enjoyable winter and spring together. On June 6 we will be hosting an outdoor barbeque with all the favorite trimmings and desserts, along with an enjoyable evening playing some of our favorite outdoor games. Beginning June 11,we will be taking our summer break and will resume our regular meetings on Sept. 10. However, we have many functions that we will participate in during our little time off for the summer.
