Garth Brooks and Shania Twain tribute bands will take to the stage at the Lewisporte Stadium on June 18.
The show starts at 7 p.m. with all ages encouraged to take in the concert either from the bleachers or at ice-level.
The Town of Lewisporte and the Town of Bay Roberts partnered in the pursuit of a tribute band to kick-off the summer celebrations in each community.
"We partnered with the Town of Bay Roberts and between the two of the towns we went out looking for a few tribute bands who would be in the Atlantic Canada area during the beginning of the summer," said Town of Lewisporte Recreation director Derek Bennett.
"We both decided we would try a country band. The Town of Lewisporte hasn't done much with country when we have had town events in the past, so it's something that we are willing to try.
Both band members are from the Ontario area and have been singing tributes to both bands for a number of years.
"They have toured across Canada and through the United States," said Mr. Bennett. "Garrick Sissons sings Garth Brooks, while Carla Sacco sings Shania Twain. All songs that the original would sing, they dress up, have the band and take to the stage to entertain the audience with the same great songs."
