FODO ISLAND — Organizers of the 5th annual Partridgeberry Harvest Festival are busy making final preparations for this weekend’s event.

The doors will open at the Fogo Island Iceberg Arena on Saturday, Oct. 6 at 10 am until 6 pm. On Sunday, Oct. 7 you can arrive at 12 pm with the evening ending at 5 pm. But the fun won’t end there. Sunday night at 8 p.m. you can enjoy an evening of live entertainment at church of the Holy Spirit Parish hall.

The usual crafts and food booths will be displayed and this year’s featured artist will be Heather White of Change Islands. Ms. White has become very well known for her creative sewing skills and more recently has been making quite the name for herself with her amazing seal skin products. Some of Heather’s works include boots, hats, purses and even jewellery.

There will be plenty of activities for children that will include boat building along with the return of the popular magician who might just have a few new tricks up his sleeve.

No Island’s Festival could be complete without the harvest tables which will feature just about any vegetable that has been locally grown right here at home.
