Sudden death at wharf

According to Lewisporte RCMP, approximately 8:30 a.m. on April 11 a 61 year-old male was reported missing from the Sir Robert Bond, which was docked in Lewisporte.

According to Lewisporte RCMP, approximately 8:30 a.m. on April11 a 61 year-old male was reported missing from the Sir Robert Bond, which was docked in Lewisporte.

At 11:15 a.m. his body was located approximately 600 metres north of the Sir Robert Bond at the water's edge. The gentlemen is from the St. John's area.

"An autopsy is pending to determine the cause of death," said Constable Mark House.

The Pilot will follow up for the April 21 issue.
