Labrador Marine Service update

The Department of Transportation and Works advises that the MV Northern Ranger is scheduled to depart Lewisporte at 4:00 p.m. today (Tuesday, June 29) for Black Tickle, Cartwright, Rigolet and Happy Valley-Goose Bay. Upon arrival in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, the vessel will begin normal scheduled service, departing Happy Valley-Goose Bay at 11:59 p.m. on Friday, July 2, for ports to Black Tickle and return. The vessel will depart Happy Valley-Goose Bay on Monday, July 5, for ports north to Nain.

Beginning today Labrador Marine Inc. is accepting freight destined for communities on Labrador's North Coast via the MV Astron service. Freight can be dropped at terminals in Lewisporte, Happy Valley-Goose Bay and Cartwright for communities from Makkovik to Nain. The MV Astron will be departing Lewisporte on its regular schedule on Friday, July 2.

The beginning of the MV Sir Robert Bond service is further delayed due to mechanical problems. Freight destined for Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Cartwright and Lewisporte via the MV Sir Robert Bond will no longer be accepted until the vessel is able to resume service. Further updates will be provided as details become available.

Travellers or shippers requiring information regarding reservations are asked to please contact Labrador Marine, at 1-866-535-2567 from within Newfoundland and Labrador or at 709-535-0810 from outside the province.
