Angel arrived on June 7 and on June 20 another filly was born. Look to The Pilot website www.lportepilot.ca for videos of the new arrivals. Ms. LeDrew gave the honour of naming the new pony to Her Excellency Sharon Johnston, the wife of His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston during the Governor General’s visit to Change Islands on Sunday. She was named Kate of the Cove after Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, in honour of the recent Royal nuptials and the upcoming Royal visit to Canada. You can also look to the July 6 issue of The Pilot for coverage of the Governor General’s visit to Changes Islands, Fogo Island and Twillingate, and the July 13 issue for more photos and an article about the Change Islands Pony Refuge.
