The RCMP Foundation is pleased to announce two community groups from Newfoundland and Labrador have recently been approved for RCMP Foundation funding for a total of $6469.00.
From sports teams and playgrounds, to suicide prevention and internet safety, the RCMP Foundation is dedicated to funding programs that help Canadian youth make positive life choices. By providing funding to these programs, the RCMP Foundation is assisting RCMP members as they dedicate countless hours to give back to the communities in which they work.
In addition to their day jobs ensuring the safety and security of Canadians, RCMP members are also tireless volunteers helping youth at risk in communities from coast to coast to coast, says RCMP Commissioner Bob Paulson. It is important to recognize that such work would not be possible without the help and ongoing financial support provided by the RCMP Foundation.
The RCMP Foundation's commitment to supporting programs in aid of Canada's youth at risk has been ongoing for the past 19 years, and has contributed more than 3.5 million dollars to over 770 programs in communities across Canada.
