Figure of speech -
I had the most incredible opportunity this past weekend, on June 26, to take photographs in Twillingate and area. Just photographs. That was my whole day and I loved it.
Not only was the weather great, but the people I met were all photogenic and excited to show their craft, expertise or beautiful businesses, homes and gardens.
"A Day In The Life" was captured as I travelled all over Twillingate Island and took photos of people doing a little bit of everything - from hauling lobster pots to selling lemonade.
Capturing someone's "best side" is easy when you have such wonderful people and places to photograph.
Travelling to places like Crow Head, Purcell's Cove, Kettle Cove and taking in the Prime Berth museum - you can't help but be proud of the place we call home. No matter how big the community, or how small, the friendly and welcoming faces of Twillingate Islanders were everywhere.
I want to personally thank everyone who so graciously allowed me to take a photograph (or two) of them at home, at work or at play. You all made my day a little easier and very delightful.
I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product of the summer 2010 Twillingate Sun and the people who made it possible this year. Without your smiling faces - well there just wouldn't be a reason to do what I do.
