Hello again and welcome to the community news for Twillingate Island. It is so nice to drive around town and see the beautiful Christmas lights or see a tree brightly lit up in a window. My tree is up, just waiting for Santa to come and put some presents under there. Christmas will be here before we know it! As I tell my kids, only 17 more sleeps! I don’t know who is more excited, myself or my three year old.
I would like to note that due to the holidays, there are some slight changes in deadlines for submissions to the community notes. Please see below for more details.
Young-at-Heart 50+ Seniors Club Notes
These notes were received from Club president Ken Howell:We had our Christmas evening get together Nov. 22 with gifts to one another following our Pot Luck Supper and Santa Claus (Philip Cooper) was there too giving out the gifts. Twice a month we have meetings and friendly fellowship nights at the Lion’s Den.
On Nov. 25 we held a service at the Sunset Manor Seniors Home with readings and hymns for the residents. They (the residents) always appreciate any service from various church and service groups around town.
