I won’t speculate upon why they called the school in Little Seldom after St. Mark, except to say he may have written a gospel and kept it short, and that Luke and Matthew plagiarized it. We all can appreciate brevity. Meanwhile, I always remember him for recording the first streaking, at least the first account I read about it, but I really can’t tell you what my friend Eliol Lewis had to say about it in Sunday School, and what Father Ayris said to us. (Mark 14:51-52). And all that may have been sufficient reason for calling a school after him.
