While the holiday season around November and December are busy times for the newspaper with banquets, parades, fundraisers, etc, this time of year is also a very hectic one for the editorial staff at The Pilot.
With year-end awards at schools and in sporting events, graduations, upcoming summer events, submissions and a general increase in news content, our plate is overflowing with articles and photos from throughout the coverage area. The editorial staff at The Pilot would like to take this opportunity to remind people that while we are out covering a variety of events, you may notice a longer than normal delay in between when the event occurs and when it appears in the newspaper.
We strive to give everyone fair coverage in a timely fashion and right now we are experiencing a high volume of content to deliver to readers in the pages of The Pilot and online at www.lportepilot.ca. Of course, while time-sensitive items will appear sooner rather than later, every effort is being made to bring you a variety of coverage.
As always the editorial staff are available to cover your news items/events and please don't hesitate to contact The Pilot for this purpose. Please keep in mind that for any weekend events confirmation has to be made with the editorial staff by Wednesday of that week and for any other events at least 24-hours notice is required. Coverage of events is also on a first-come, first-served basis. We also welcome any and all submissions readers may have.
All we ask is that you have patience with us as we do our best to bring you complete and concise community coverage.
