Animal abuse is still pretty much an everyday thing in our society. People are still turning a blind eye to the issue.

Reading stories on animal abuse really hits a spot with me. I can't see how anyone in their right mind could harm an animal. Whether it be a moose or a kitten. Every animal has the right to live on the planet just like we do.

Reading stories on animal abuse really hits a spot with me. I can't see how anyone in their right mind could harm an animal. Whether it be a moose or a kitten. Every animal has the right to live on the planet just like we do.

When we see moose and rabbits on the Trans Canada Highway squished into the roads I always think about the time when there were no roads and what has now become a highway for cars, trucks and transports was once a nice haven for a family of rabbits or a group of moose.

This editorial stems from an article I read today about a puppy who was left in the woods with his leg and hip broken and put in a box. He was unable to walk and maggots were eating his flesh.

Sick!

How can someone treat an animal in such an inhumane way?

A few weeks ago I read another article regarding kids who were baiting hooks and then catching seagulls and beating them up.

Yes, seagulls are a bother but do they really deserve to be caught on a hook and their inside tore out and then beat to death? I don't think they do.

I think people in our society should take issues like this more seriously. Abuse towards anything is not acceptable.
