Dear Editor,
Over the last number of years, through the efforts of anti-sealers, we have been subjected to the so-called bloodiness and goriness of the killing of seals. Why seals only, I don't know. Because blood also flows when other animals are killed. (Moose, rabbits, etc.)
I wonder have the anti-sealers realized how bloody and gory it is when a polar bear catches a seal and tears it to pieces for food. What are we to do about that? Kill all the polar bears? I doubt it.
It's time for all people to realize that God Almighty put animals on the earth as a source of food for both man and other animals. He didn't intend for the creatures He made to be viewed as a worldwide zoo or aquarium.
No doubt hunting needs to be regulated, but not to be cut out all together. Common sense should prevail.
Yours truly,
