The Notre Dame Skating Club was represented in Clarenville on Feb 27-28 at the Junior Provincials. All of the skaters skated well and had a great show at the competition. For many of these skaters it was their first competition. They enjoyed the experience and are now inspired to return next year even better. Although they did not all earn medals, they were among the top skaters in their group. Congratulations to all Junior Provincial skaters on their great skates and hard work leading up to the competition. Pictured are Junior Provincial skaters (front, from left) Jessica Russell, second CanSkate Stage 5 Ladies, 7 years; Zander Baker first, CanSkate Stage 5 Men, 8 years; (back) Cassandra Lacey, sixth Pre-Preliminary Ladies 10 years; Shauna Brinson, eighth place Pre-Preliminary Ladies 7 years, Chantel Label, fifth Pre-Preliminary Ladies 9 years, Laura Belbin, fifth Pre-Preliminary Ladies 9 years; Kiley Wells, seventh Pre-Preliminary Ladies 9 years. Missing from photo is Kendall Hutchings who did not compete because of illness.
