Kate of the Cove and Heidi

Featured in this video are Kate of the Cove and her mother Heidi. Kate was born at the Change Islands Newfoundland Pony Refuge on June 20. The honour of naming the new pony was given to Her Excellency Sharon Johnston, the wife of His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston during the Governor General’s visit to Change Islands on Sunday. She was named Kate of the Cove after Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, in honour of the recent Royal nuptials and the upcoming Royal visit to Canada.
