Twillingate’s Fish, Fun and Folk Festival in full swing

Karren Churchill was joined by her daughter Gillian Rouleau for a dance at the annual seniors day at Hospital Pond. Gillian is visiting from Calgary but plans to move to Twillingate next year and immerse herself in the thriving local entertainment industry.

TWILLINGATE, NL — The annual Fish, Fun and Folk Festival is in full swing at Twillingate, Notre Dame Bay, with plenty of activities happening around the town. 

Today, the parade will proceed through town followed by the official opening ceremonies at the George Hawkins Memorial Arena.

There is plenty of entertainment tonight with The Fables in concert at the arena, the Not-so-Righteous Brothers with special guests live at the Masonic Lodge and an adult dance at the Twillingate Lions Den.

Schedules can be found at most local stores or at fishfunfolkfestival.com. Everyone is welcome to join in the fun at one of Newfoundland’s longest running festivals.

Seniors day at Hospital Pond isn’t just for the older folk. Ezra and Erica Smith, visiting from Conception Bay South relax and enjoy the music on a beautiful summer's day.
