On Nov. 26, staff held their fifth annual toy drive and food bank event.
Haley Kinden credited not only staff members, but also the community with the success of the event.
“It certainly was one of the best years yet and we feel so humbled by the response from the community,” she told The Pilot.
Kinden noted it was one of the best years to date for the event with donations of toys for the Salvation Army, non-perishable food items for the Lewisporte Area Interfaith Goodwill Centre and Food Bank.
They also received $740 in monetary donations for the food bank.
“We are all so pleased and thankful to have such great support in our community,” Kinden said. “We’ll certainly be back out again next year for our 6th annual drive.”
For anyone who couldn't make it out to the event, donations are still being accepted at Freake’s Ambulance.
