Submissions

The community calendar listings are a regular feature in The Pilot newspaper and online (www.lportepilot.ca). Events within The Pilot coverage area being held by not-for-profit groups/organizations can be advertised in this section at no charge (for up to three weeks). To add your listing email the information to ksnow@pilotnl.ca, fax it to (709) 535-8640, call (709) 535-6910 or drop off at the Pilot office at 151 Main St., Lewisporte.

Visit www.lportepilot.ca and go to the “My Calendar” link on the home page to list your event on our website calendar as well.

The Lewisporte and Area Interfaith Goodwill Centre accepts gently used clothing and housewares from Mon. - Fri. 1 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. No weekend donations accepted until further notice.

At the library we have made a commitment to support and display local talent. While there, check out a book or if you don't have a library card, now is the time to get one.

Christmas Open House

Dec. 10 - The Board of Directors of Lionel Kelland Hospice is most grateful for the continued support and generosity from the people of Central Newfoundland who believe in providing care, respect and dignity at the end of life. Please join us at Christmas Open House from 2 – 4 p.m. Presentation Centre, 3 St. Catherine Street, Grand Falls – Windsor. Everyone welcome. Come visit the model suite and learn more about our plans to construct the province’s first residential hospice for end of life care.
