RCMP Wish Tree in Lewisporte raising funds for children

On Nov. 30 the seventh annual RCMP Children’s Wish Tree was launched in Lewisporte.

Each year the RCMP raises funds to help grant wishes for children with life threatening illnesses. This holiday season the detachment has already received almost $5,000 in donations with each wish costing approximately $10,000. To date this project has resulted in $31,649.35 raised over the years, equaling three wishes through the Children’s Wish Foundation. Donations can be made in any amount and dropped off at the RCMP detachment in Lewisporte (up to Old Christmas Day) or mail to:
