Twillingate Unscripted Digital Festival continues

Mike Sixtonate, the Pied Pirate, leads a Musical Stroll through the streets of Twillingate. Telling stories, and singing Sea Shanties, the energetic group travelled to several different venues through the town to listen to some local musicians and maybe partake in some of the local grog. Yar!!!!

TWILLINGATE, NL - The Twillingate Unscripted Digital Festival has begun. 

The schedule for workshops, entertainment and other activities can be found at unscriptedfestival.com. There is still time to join in the fun. Pictured are a couple of photo highlights from day two.

Roger Maunder with Eleanor Stockley and Deborah Bourden on set at the Iceberg Shop in Twillingate. Maunder, a film producer, writer and director lead the three-day Digital Filmmaking Workshop at the Twillingate Unscripted Digital Arts Festival where participants learned about screenwriting, filming and editing. They even get a chance to star in their own short film.
Dean Stairs adjusts the mic for Nick Gates and Twillingate recording artist Rachel Troke. Stairs, a music producer, and musician Adam Baxter ran the Tune Time workshop at the Unscripted Twillingate Digital Arts Festival where participants went through the creative process of writing and digitally recording a song. Here participants learned that the washroom had good acoustics for recording.
Nicholas Rogers, Brady Gillard and Stephen Hale prepared to perform at the Tune time workshop. The students from J.M. Olds Collegiate were joined by other students from New World Island Academy for the one-day workshop. The students participated in developing lyrics and a sound track, then digitally recorded the song in its entirety at the end of the day.
