Twillingate’s Fish, Fun and Folk Festival in full swing

TWILLINGATE, NL — The annual Fish, Fun and Folk Festival is in full swing at Twillingate, Notre Dame Bay, with plenty of activities happening around the town. 

Today, the parade will proceed through town followed by the official opening ceremonies at the George Hawkins Memorial Arena.

Beggers Bush kicked off the Fish, Fun and Folk Festival with an old fashion kitchen party at the George Hawkins Memorial Arena.

There is plenty of entertainment tonight with The Fables in concert at the arena, the Not-so-Righteous Brothers with special guests live at the Masonic Lodge and an adult dance at the Twillingate Lions Den.

Jody Hale entertains at the annual seniors day, sponsored by both the Twillingate and New World Island lions clubs.

Schedules can be found at most local stores or at fishfunfolkfestival.com. Everyone is welcome to join in the fun at one of Newfoundland’s longest running festivals.

Seniors day at Hospital Pond isn’t just for the older folk. Ezra and Erica Smith, visiting from Conception Bay South relax and enjoy the music on a beautiful summer's day.
