Court case against former Lewisporte physician to be called September 17

GANDER — The matters of Dr. Rasheed Kadhem were called in Provincial Court in Gander on Aug. 13.
The former Lewisporte physician is facing one charge of personation with intent, eight charges of sexual assault and five charges of trafficking or possessing a controlled drug or substance for trafficking.
The Provincial Crown attorney has one more medical file to enter as disclosure on these matters.
The matter will be called again on Sept. 17 in Provincial Court in Gander. At this time it is anticipated that Kadhem will enter a plea.
