Education and Early Childhood Development Minister Dale Kirby said government officials have begun to review the contents of the EY report on the provincial public library system.

The Provincial Information and Library Resources Board (PILRB) released the report today.

“The recommendations put forward in the report will inform next steps in the decision-making process for the Provincial Information Library Resources Board and our government,” Kirby said in a statement.

EY was engaged to conduct an independent review of the provincial public library system.

Eleven consultations were held around the province last fall to gather information for the report. Feedback was also collected through staff and public surveys and written submissions.

The report can be viewed on the PILRB website here.
