In a press release issued this morning, RCMP say just before 3 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 7, police responded to a report of an assault that occurred outside a business on Manitoba Drive in Clarenville.
Investigators arrived on scene within minutes to find that a 29 year-old male had suffered a stab wound.
He was transported to G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
According to RCMP, subsequent investigation led to the arrest of a 19 year old male.
The accused remains in custody and will appear in court later today to answer to charges of aggravated assault and failing to comply with a probation order.
