Driver arrested in Pasadena will be released when sober: police

A retired RNC officer and two off-duty RCMP officers called police Sunday after witnessing a vehicle driving erratically over curbs in Pasadena.

According to a police report, a 67-year-old man was arrested and charged for impaired driving, refusing to provide breath samples and having open liquor in his vehicle.

The man is being held in custody and will be released when he’s sober. He’ll be expected to appear in court.

“This is a stark reminder of the dangers of driving while impaired,” reads the police report. “The RCMP encourages anyone who has information about impaired driver, to pull over and call 911.  Citizens may also provide information anonymously through Crime Stoppers.”
