Odd collection of items stolen from Burin Peninsula cabins

RCMP are searching for a man armed with a knife who broke into house in Marystown Friday night.

Whoever broke into several cabins located in the area of the transmission line between Grand Bank and Lawn this month made off with some curious personal items.

According to the RCMP, the stolen possessions included homemade swords, a wood duck on a stump, a set of deer antlers, canned food and a chainsaw.

The RCMP received the report on Feb. 21.

The area where the cabins are located is accessible by ATV only. Police indicated entry was gained to the cabins by causing damage to doors and windows.
