Two sent to hospital from single-vehicle crash on TCH

Two people have been sent to hospital with undetermined injuries following a single-vehicle rollover crash on the Trans-Canada Highway, east of the Holyrood Access.

The car, which was travelling in the east-bound lane, landed in a ditch in the median. Firefighters had to cut the roof off to rescue the occupants of the vehicle, a male driver and female passenger.

It's not known the extent of their injuries, but they don't appear to be life-threatening.

The RCMP, St. John's Regional Fire Department and Eastern Health paramedics are at the scene.
