The filthy, bacteria of dirty politics and corporate greed, selfishness, arrogance and disregard continue to colonize itself on the backs of people in the communities around the coast of Newfoundland.
It’s not bad enough that the minimum wage is a financial atrocity. It’s not bad enough that the cost of living is going through the roof. I wonder just how many factories, etc. in cities across Canada were obtained by trading away the fish stocks off the coast of Newfoundland and leaving Newfoundlanders in a state of poverty. What’s the issue here?
Did the politicians and their rich friends decide that they wanted to buy more of those expensive bottles of wine to drink while feasting on the most expensive foods while people all around them are struggling just to exist and survive.
The proverbial crumbs continue to fall from the rich man’s table into the hands of the poverty stricken people while the natural resources continue to be exploited to death to make the rich richer and the poor poorer. As the song says, Where have all the flowers gone? When will they ever learn?
When will they ever learn, indeed, to distribute the wealth of province and country equally and justly? The sooner the better.
