PURCELL'S HARBOUR - For some weeks now Wayne and Joyce Anstey of Purcell's Harbour have been busy collecting pledges and donations for Dylan's Walk, a special project related to the Janeway Telethon.

And their efforts have been very successful with some $3,000 realized for their fifth annual project, named for their grandchild at St. John's.

Dylan, son of Sheldon and Joanne Anstey, was stricken with meningitis as an infant and shortly afterwards developed a lung virus with both conditions resulting in his being hospitalised for some three-and-a-half months for the first eight months of his life. However, his progress has been phenomenal, advised his Pop, when you consider what he has gone through. Dylan will be starting Kindergarten in September.

"The instructors at the pre-school classes he attended were simply amazed at the progress he has shown," reported Mr. Anstey. "And we owe it to the miracle workers at the Janeway."

Mr. Anstey was scheduled to make the presentation in person at the Telethon on Sunday at midday. The Anstey's expressed heartfelt appreciation to all those who helped support them in this year's project.
