HAPPY VALLEY-GOOSE BAY, N.L. — The Happy Valley-Goose Bay Minor Soccer Associations’ Shriners Indoor Program is almost wrapped up for the year with only a few weeks left to go.

To celebrate the involvement of over 600 children who have been playing in the Shriners program, the annual Minor Soccer Festival will be scheduled to take place at the Mealy Mountain Collegiate Soccer Field on Saturday, June 23 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Trevor Paine, co-president of the Happy Valley-Goose Bay Minor Soccer Association, told The Labradorian the emphasis of the festival is a ‘Family Fun Day’ which marks the end of the Indoor Shriners Soccer season with all age group teams playing games on the outdoor grass.

Activities planned for the day include mini soccer games, bouncy castle, canteen services, helium balloons, spin the wheel tickets, speed clock shooting, fish tank prize pool and raffles for Canadian Helicopters ‘Scenic Joy Flight’ and a special goodies basket which includes an Ipad.

If you are looking for something to do with the family come on down to the Mealy Mountain Collegiate (MMC) soccer field. There will also be softball registration taking place at the field throughout the day.

Please note that vehicle parking is located behind the MMC School building.
